ReachOut Competition: Inspire a Generation

Inspire Ireland have launched a national film competition to promote positive attitudes to mental health and challenge current stereotypes around the issue.

They’re looking for you to create a short film or animation (90 – 180 seconds) which explores mental health related topics in a positive way, with an emphasis on how we can get through tough times.

Two stage competition

  1. Submit a brief on your proposed video, including a storyboard. Briefs will be reviewed by judging panel based on message interpretation, creativity and production plan.
  2. Ten successful submissions will be invited to produce their video project. These teams will then compete for the prizes outlined below.

Who can enter?

Individuals aged 18 – 30 who are resident in Ireland.
This competition is best suited to film or animation graduates with experience in developing short multi-media pieces for online use.


Overall winner: €2,000 and an internship with leading Irish ad agency Cawley-Nea

Runner-up: €1,000

Second runner-up: €500

Monday,  9 July 2012

Shortlisted teams will be contacted by this date if they are into the next phase.

Monday, 3 September

Closing date for film submission 1 September 2012.

Award Ceremony October 2012.
