RUN HISTORY: My Marathons & Ultramarathons To Date
You are inspiring me to get on a regular running plan again. I have a half marathon in Miami that I do every year (there is a marathon option as well). Last weekend in January. I highly recommend it if you’re state-side at that time!
I think I’ll be sticking to the ones relatively near me in the short-term but there are definitely a few stateside races that I want to get round to doing at some stage. What’s the name of the one in Miami?
It’s the ING Miami Marathon and Half Marathon – http://www.ingmiamimarathon.com/
It’s held every year on the last Sunday in January. An incredible amount of people run it and the energy level carries you from mile to mile. I highly recommend it!
Thanks, I’ll check it out!
Wow, you have marathons all over the country! I’m too late for the one’s near me though, but next year I should be fit and ready!!
Are you based in Ireland? There’s still a few left!!!
Best of luck with your training
Yep, I’m in the east.
And thank you!! x
You’re welcome
This site’s very useful for getting information on upcoming marathons, they’re a great group (albeit slightly nutty!)

Haha, thank you, that’s brilliant!
Interested in hearing about your recovery experiences from running a marathon every couple of weeks.
Sounds obvious but it depends on how tough the course is and how fast I’m going that day. For example, the one just gone by in Dublin wasn’t even close to being the most difficult course but it was the fastest I’ve gone so far, so the recovery is taking a while longer. Normally I’m walking normally after 2-3 days. I’ll be putting up a post soon dealing with this very topic, thanks for reading.
Congrats on all your races so far! It’s very commendable what you’re doing to raise money for the Reach Out program! Good luck with the rest of your races this year!
